The Del Mar Races!
Mike had a special treat for Zeke one recent afternoon. They were heading to the Del Mar Races!! Zeke loves the horses and has gone every year since he was born. This year they even won big (by our standards) and came home with some money!!

Big Brother Zeke!
I had to share this picture even though I look horrible or should I just say exhausted. But that is the way a new mother should look, right? I think this is from the first or second morning we came home from the hospital. I love this picture because Zeke is so happy in it and is showing off his little brother Ben!

Del Mar, I mean San Diego, County Fair
We ventured out on Saturday to the opening weekend of the Del Mar Fair and had a blast petting the animals, watching pot belly pig races, stuffing our faces and riding on some "kiddieland" rides! The weather was a little iffy in the morning but the afternoon and evening turned out to be beautiful at the Del Mar Fairgrounds. We just ordered a new computer today and once I get everything figured out I will post some videos that we took (our old computer doesn't have enough memory to download our videos). The photos of our trip to the fair doesn't do the outing justice but I will try to give you an idea.
Zeke was really into the fair this year and was talking up a storm to the cows, goats and sheep. He had no fear in going up to the stalls and petting the animals.

Unfortunately we don't have any pictures of us stuffing our faces - deep fried oreos were Zeke's favorite!
Zeke was able this year to go onto the swings all by himself in kiddie land. He couldn't get enough of the swings and the Goliath Slide. Zeke did have to go down with daddy on the slide and again I just took videos of the slide instead of pictures. I was very happy to see signs all over the place about "PREGNANT WOMEN NOT ALLOWED ON RIDES". Mike filled in perfectly and even enjoyed himself quite a bit!

Fiesta Del Sol
This year was Solana Beach's 30th anniversary of their Fiesta Del Sol which is basically a street fair with music and food. We decided to brave the crowds this year and take Zeke. It was a great time listening to good music and eating corn dogs and cherry lemonade. We also had some park time at Fletcher Cove park where Zeke got to ride on the big boy swing.

PIZZA! PIZZA!
A couple weeks ago, Mike decided to make a pizza and Zeke wanted to help out. We decided on a bbq chicken one which turned out delicious. The crust was perfect which probably was because of Zeke's help rolling out the dough. Zeke was totally into it and wasn't content just helping Daddy - he had to have his own rolling pin and roll out the dough himself.

This picture looks like Zeke isn't too happy that Mike is taking the "limelight" or getting in the way of rolling the dough!!!
