Early Mother's Day

Mike and Zeke surprised me on the Thursday before Mother's Day! Mike had to work on Mother's Day so I got to spend an early Mother's Day with Mike and Zeke. I was given a hand made menu to choose what I wanted for breakfast in bed! Then breakfast came with two beautiful bouquets of fresh flowers and Zeke even shared my toast with me. It was just a great start to what turned out to be an absolutely wonderful day. I opened up my mother's day cards and found 3 tickets to the Padres game that afternoon! I have really been wanting to take Zeke to a game this year so we all enjoyed Zeke's first Padres game.
Here's a picture of Zeke and I walking in to Petco Park

Mike got us the best seats on field level and we even had a fence in front of us so Zeke could walk around a little bit without bothering anybody in front of us. We were even able to stay in our seats for 5 full innings! Here's a picture of Zeke chowing down on a hot dog

And here's Mike trying to explain the game to Zeke which I probably should have been doing!

After 5 innings, Zeke was getting a little antsy so we went to the Park in the Park which is just a big grassy area where kids can run around and they do have a little baseball diamond where kids can play but Zeke is still a little too young for that. Zeke loved it and ran around all day! He did have to hydrate and get some water from mommy.

We left at the end of the 7th inning as Zeke was getting pretty tuckered out. He was asleep in the car before we made it to the freeway. Thank you to Mike and Zeke for making this Mother's Day so special. I am so lucky to have such a great husband and a wonderful son!

On the actual Mother's Day, Zeke and I headed over to Sheila and Joe's for what turned out to be fiesta to the fullest. Sheila out did herself as usual and made homemade tortilla soup and chicken flautas. We celebrated our mom who is the best! Of course Mike is the photographer in our family and I forgot to take the camera so I don't have any photos from this wonderful day. Thank you Sheila for having Mother's Day and thank you mom for being such a great mother and grandmother!
